Fashion Show – Saturday 25th April – Bromsgrove South School
13:30 Doors open – refreshments and raffle tickets will be available to buy (cash only). 14:00 – 15:30 Fashion show (includes and interval). 15:30 – time to purchase clothes and accessories. Tickets will be available at our February meeting.

December 2025 – WI Christmas tree – Worcester Cathedral

19th November 2025 – The banner provided by WFWI was erected outside the village hall today by Jennie and Fran R.

We made a collection of new items to give to New Starts so parents who are registered for the food bank can go and select gifts to give their children at Christmas – there were about 175 items collected. Once again we had an overwhelming selection of excellent gifts. The word from New Start was ‘Awesome’.

Monday 20th October 2025 – 18 blankets, 9 cardigans and 3 hats off to Hamlin.

Tuesday 14th October 2025 – we made a collection of toothbrushes and toothpaste as part of the WI campaign ‘Dental Health Matters’. They were taken to the Food Bank at New Start in Bromsgrove who were ‘over the moon’ with our donation.

Wednesday 18th December – 2pm – Hillside Group Carol Service led by Fairfield WI at St Mark’s Church, Fairfield. Please bring mince pies for tea in Church Hall afterwards. Parking is limited, so please car share.

28 September 2024 – Rose has done an amazing job of clearing all the diseased leaves from our Queen’s Canopy Crab Apple Tree. Hopefully next year it will be disease free.

Friday 10 May, 7 pm – WFWI Skittles – We are in the semi-final! There are 5 teams. Knockout system. . Archdeal Leisure Centre, Worcester. Please let Sue S know if you are available.
A very close run match that ended in a draw which was decided by a one ball play off between the team captains, which sadly we lost 6-5.

Monday 15 April – WFWI Skittles – Catshill, playing St Catherine’s. Let Sue S know if you are available. All welcome, but only 6 can play.
Friday 12th April 7 pm – WFWI Skittles. PRACTICE at CLAINES. We now know that we need to practice and not wing it. Everyone is welcome to try skittles. If you want to come and have a go, contact Sue and lifts will be arranged.

2 pm. St Godwald’s Church, Aston Fields.
Organised by Joyce and including a modern nativity
play by Julia H. Mince pies, stollen, shortbread biscuits,
tea and coffee.




23 November 2023 – FWI Skittles Thursday arrive 7 pm. Playing against
St Catherine’s WI. Anyone can attend but only six can play. £3 each.

Friday 29th September – Coffee Morning for Cancer Relief MacMillan Fund at Finstall Village Hall. 10 am – 12 noon. Please invite family and friends. So far many have signed up to help and offer cakes. I am sure more cakes will be required and we can sell any off that are left over. When bringing cakes please label and also regarding allergies.
We raised £697 plus quite a lot of people signed the gift aid forms. A magnificent total and an event enjoyed by all – visitors and those who helped make it such a success.


3rd August 2023 – our Queen’s Canopy Tree has its first fruits

30th May 2023 – Our Queen’s Canopy Tree – the side shoot was damaged and has been removed, so it is back to a single stem tree.

8th May 2023 – Afternoon Tea at our President’s home in honour of the Coronation of King Charles III
23rd March 2023 – County Quiz – 4 of our members attended and came third out of a group of 15 teams. There were two halls running the same quiz with a total number of 37 teams. Our team were only 8 points off the overall winners,
23rd March 2023 – Litter Pick, Finstall. Meet at The Cross at 11:00.
Seven of our members collected 7 bags of rubbish as part of the Great British Spring Clean rounded off with a visit to The Cross Inn for a well deserved lunch.

Finstall Cross WI and Finstall and Cofton Hackett WI donated a flower trough to Finstall village hall, commemorating Worcestershire WI’s centenary celebrations.

Thurs 14th Sept – Litter pick – Dodging the showers but managed to pick up quite a lot of litter.

Sat 3rd Jun – Garden Party 2- 4.30 Dress code – Summer finery. There will be some male singers, a bring n buy, tombola, scones with cream and jam. Bring a seat if possible. Pease come and have fun.

During our October meeting we welcomed Trudy Berlet, a bereavement support midwife at Worcester Royal Hospital, in order to present her with 105 handmade knitted and crocheted forget me nots for giving out to bereaved parents.
