Friday 27 February, Time: 10.00 -12.30, Venue: 34a College Road B60 2NF. Theme: working with stencils. Rita will bring her extensive collection to share and we can use clean paper or work over ‘failed or unfinished’ work of our own. As the January meeting was – it will be a morning that is totally unthreatening to anyone who is under confident
January – Fri 30th January at Julia’s – Acrylic painting on chipboard. Participants will need protective clothing and old paint brushes; also pens and pencils. They can share acrylic paints – so don’t worry about having none. Further details will be sent to regular attendees and anyone else who asks.

Wednesday 18th June, Stanhope Forbes Exhibition, Worcester Art Gallery. Travel by 10.12 train from Bromsgrove. Coffee and lunch and a relaxed return pm.

Friday 17th January – 10:010 – Meet at Bromsgrove Railway Station for a visit to the Barber Institute. We we lucky enough to see a pre-Raphaelite Exhibition as well as the permanent collection.

Friday 19th April. Visit to THE PRE-RAPHAELITE EXHIBITION in Birmingham’s GAS HALL. All are welcome even if you don’t belong to Art Club. Cost £11, or £6 for concessions (Julia is looking into this). Travel by train from Bromsgrove or Barnt Green to arrive in New Street by 11.00 am. Coffee at one of the many cafes. Visit Exhibition. Lunch La Galleria, just off New Street. Return from New Street to arrive at above stations before 5.00 pm. Please sign up on the provided sheet.

Friday 23rd February – To visit the LAURA KNIGHT EXHIBITION at Worcester Art Gallery. Rough outline of day: 10.00 ish travel (by train) from Bromsgrove; coffee; visit exhibition; lunch -not yet booked but likely to be Cote Brasserie; return to B’grove with light shopping opportunities on the way. Friday 14th July – 10:30 to meet at Bevere Gallery, Worcester WR3 7RQ for an extended morning of coffee/lunch/viewing of pottery, glass and paintings plus artists workshops with sketching opportunities. Non-artists are welcome to join the group at this lovely site near the River Severn.

Friday 28th April – A visit to Cheltenham Racecourse to visit an art and sculpture exhibition called ‘Fresh’.

Friday 17th February – a visit to the Barber Institute, Train from Bromsgrove (10:29) and Barnt Green. Get tickets to Birmingham New Street, but alight at University to visit the Barber Institute. They will go into Birmingham for lunch. Anyone from the FCWI is welcome to join them.
